CDF List
About the CDF List
The CDF List is published by NHS England on their website. This is a PDF file which lists every drug currently funded by the Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF). It also lists all NICE Technology Appraisals for Cancer since April 2016, and shows when funding transitioned from the CDF to NHS England standard commissioning.
The CDF list is over 200 pages long and produced as a PDF of an MS Excel Spreadsheet. The list includes the criteria for starting a patient on treatment. This can make navigating the document difficult and finding changes can be hard.
How this site processes the list
This site crawls the web several times a week checking for updated documents. In the case of the CDF List, if it finds a new version of the PDF file, the site then converts the data back to a raw datafile to present you with some, hopefully, useful information:
A summary table of all CDF and NHSE indications which require a prior approval form (Blueteq form)
A page describing each drug’s criteria
An alert (posted to BlueSky and on here) about the change to the document
Summary of All Prior Approval Forms
You can use the table below to search all the current prior approval forms by drug, or indication. The two dates represent the date that funding was made available in the Cancer Drugs Fund and the date funding is expected to transition to NHS England standard funding, or did transition (if CDF date is blank).
Clicking the form id will open the relevant criteria page.
Current Data Version
The data on this site is displaying the version 1.359 of the CDF list, downloaded from NHS England’s website on NA. If a newer version has been published since then, the information on this site is no longer up to date.
